Job/Project Description – Position Purpose
The Infrastructure Operations Analyst will represent his/her department towards the Business Units and project teams and will assure a determining role in the management, support, maintenance, implementation, administration and lifecycle management of Infrastructure solutions.
He/she will be positioned as a level 2 in the organization, using his/her expertise for problem diagnosis and solutions documentation, implementation, administration, support, and maintenance of a variety of hardware, software, and network products. The role is broadly split between providing day to day operational support for existing infrastructure services and users of those services, and project based work leading to the development and deployment of new infrastructure services.
This person must have good knowledge in Operating Systems, Security, Monitoring, Network, Storage and Backup technologies, Web Application Server Administration; Ticketing tool(CASD)and Google applications; and must be able to lead, operate and continuously improve the environments distributed across 600+ remote locations throughout EUROPE, Asia, Africa, US, Latam and Canada.
Duties/Task Description - the deliverables/results the contractor will be expected to achieve:
Responsibilities
Work under the ISS directives to support, implement, monitor and administer the ISS infrastructure and services.
Second level of operational support for the ISS infrastructure services including but not limited to virtualization system, windows and Linux operating systems, Web Application Server Administration, security, network, storage, backup, monitoring and applications, autosys with rotating shift-mode.
Assure system and service administration is practised in-line with ISS procedures.
Advanced troubleshooting and implementation of solution in conjunction with vendor and third-party support with in the applicable technology platform that you will be responsible
Support, Report and Administration of ESSPI’s Local IT’s inventory, maintenance and devices
Comply and being proactive with the ITSM processes lifecycle & SLA standards
Incident Management-Maintain effective escalation and customer focused communication in the event of incidents; Take ownership and regularly update with your actions of any assigned incidents; Required to investigate and diagnose the incident accurately and effectively; Prioritize your response to the incident based on the Priority and Severity of the issue; Define an action plan for detailed diagnosis with the aim to resolve the incident and restore normal service operation as soon as possible; Initiate Problem Record for recurring multiple incidents and/or the incident is deemed to have a deeper issue that requires root cause analysis or escalation.
Problem Management-Responsible for detection and initiation of the Problem record (PMR), Initial categorization, classification and prioritization of the problem record
Change Management-Coordinate with various parties for change request management operation; Performing the routine tasks that keep the infrastructure running is a core part of the role. Perform/implement Change requests with provided implementation plan/steps.
Continuous Service Improvement - Contribute in quality and productivity improvement projects, providing analysis of information; Ensure the Compliance of processes and best practices outlined by the Technical Supervisor and Management
Pro-active in ensuring stability, response time, operational consistency and life cycle over the System Infrastructures, while providing monthly reports on activity, quality and performance of these System Infrastructures.
Participate in emerging projects, and act at the technical level and as the liaison for the rest of his/her department.
Report on administration and project progress to the ISS Team Leader, Delivery Manager and Infrastructure Head.
Ensure appropriate documentation, including procedures for the Operations & Services and Pre-Production departments
Follow training plans, requirements and schedules as outlined. Complete and keep up to date with all Mandatory trainings
Mandatory skills - the absolute minimum skill level required for the candidate to be considered:
PRIMARY TECHNICAL ABILITIES:
System Administration in Windows Server Operating Systems (W2K3, W2K8R2, W2K12 and W2K19)
Knowledge in Security and Anti-Virus (McAfee and Kaspersky)
Knowledge in Patch Management
Knowledge in ITIL/ITSM framework
Knowledge in using a Scheduling Software (example: CA Unicenter Autosys)
Knowledge in using a Monitoring Software (example: CA Unicenter NSM, BMC, Solarwinds, or Microsoft SCOM...)
Knowledge in Databases (SQL Server, or/and Oracle)
Knowledge in Application (RMES or/and CFT Transfer)
Knowledge in the administration of a main Backup Software (Veeam, Commvault)
VMWare Administration
Experienced in ITIL framework
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge in Web Application Server Administration
Competencies in IT Software and Hardware
System administration in Unix Operating Systems Linux RHEL 5.x or above (or HPUX 11.x)
Competences in IT Hardware
Competencies in Storage Management
Basic knowledge in Network

3-5 years of experience in system administration and troubleshooting.

Education: Bachelor’s or College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and/or related field.
